I spent a few days last summer in the stunning Dolomites playing on some of the Via Ferrata that the region has to offer-amongst other things- including mountain biking, hiking and ….wine tasting!
For me the trip was more about enjoying the mountain scenery, rather than pushing oneself on a overhanging tufa fest, or having a big day out on a multi pitch route (with hours of walking in to get to it – oh happy memories of Skye- Arrow Route, Intergrety and Cioch Direct, or the tears of the Fissure D’Alfroide, or Castleton Tower in Moab for that matter- awesome as it was)
I’ll certainly be back this summer for more rock climbing as I barely scrapped the surface of what the region has to offer – cut short on my first rock route on the Cinque Torres by snow!
