Erna Low celebrates its 80th birthday

Last night the winter ski holiday company, Erna Low celebrated its 80th birthday by launching a biography of the pioneering woman herself.

‘Aiming High: The Life of Ski and Travel Pioneer Erna Low’ was written by author and ski writer Mark Frary. The book is to be published on 1 January 2013, available for pre order HERE

By first taking people to the Alps back in 1932, Erna Low, introduced the concept of the ski package holiday and the chalet holiday.

She went on to run a leading travel company and pioneered many new holiday destinations and travel concepts.

For the occasion, I attended a private viewing of archive footage from the earliest Erna Low ski trips as well as a special film featuring both Graham Bell and Peter Hardy from “We Love 2 Ski” skiing on original skis.
